Some things are easier to see than to explain. A picture can give us a common starting point. Add a story and a good question, and what was difficult to explain can become easier to talk about.

A picture gives you
somewhere to begin.
Heart Language is a growing visual vocabulary of more than 100 original illustrations about life, relationships, choices, faith and personal growth.

You bring the picture.
They bring their story.
You do not need to have all the answers. Offer a picture. Share something from your own experience. Ask a question.

Rooted in Christian faith
Heart Language grew out of my Christian faith, my work as an illustrator and my relationship with God.
We believe biblical truth is more than information. It belongs in real life — in our choices, relationships, struggles, hopes and the way we meet other people.
At the same time, Heart Language can be used with people who do not share our faith. Pictures can give us common ground where we can listen, share stories and explore important questions together.
Faith is our foundation.
People are our focus.
You care about people.
You want to make a difference.
You may teach, coach, counsel, lead, work with people — or none of these descriptions may fit.
What matters is that you care about people and want to communicate in a way that reaches beyond words.
Then Heart Language may be for you.
